Welcome!
Welcome to my blog, which doesn't get updated as much as I would like- something to do with being so busy!
Anyway, welcome to Time to Learn Piano. We hope you enjoy finding your way around the site, and would love to bring to your attention the new scheme being introduced this September 2014, to help with budgetting for music lessons, exams and music, More information on the prices page.
Once again this summer we had a fantastic array of results from examinations. Almost everyone got a distinction- 13 for piano, plus a couple of merits (one for singing, one for piano) and a very high pass (for piano) Also some amazing comments for those who took the Prep Test.
Well done to everyone - you all worked so hard and deserved your fantastic results!
Fantastic results for Spring 2015 yet again! Everyone got a distinction!
Once again, autumn 2014 set a new record for excellent results. Everyone who took a graded examination was awarded a distinction! One student took the Prep Test in singing, and had excellent comments- everyone else got distinctions with London College of Music and Trinity Guildhall, for singing, piano, early learning and jazz pianos. Well done everyone: you thoroughly deserved your awards as you all worked so hard.

Welcome to all my new studetns who started piano this term! It's the best thing you can do- you will get so much pleasure and satisfaction from playing. Here's to the rst of your musical life!!!!
I am delighted that Cam and Dursley Children's Choir, which will be a new community choir, set up as a charity, for all primary school aged children in the area, will start on 16th September at 3-4pm at Cam Parish Council. The first session is free, afterwards we will charge £1.50 per session or £10 per term (3 terms per year)
We have already been asked to perform at Dursley Library before Christmas and hope to do some other local "gigs" as well and I'm working on a bigger project for the future.
Children only need to love singing- no need to be able to read music, but enjoy all kinds of music from pop to classical, folk, christmas carols to gospel! We won't be sitting down much, but moving around, making the sessions fun and appropriate for all types of children's learning! We also hope to incorporate some Makaton signing as well, and would encourage children with disabilities to join us (parents might need to stay to help though as we are working with a small volunteer band of helpers!)
One of the first things we will be doing is running a competition for children to design a logo for the choir, which we hope can then be reproduced on T shirts!
Soon there will be a dedicated page on this website for information about the choir. Until then, please continue to contact me the normal way!
Delighted about progress to set up community children's choir in Dursley/Cam area. Now have keyboard, info about grants, need to open bank account so can apply for them, ordered some music, looking at rooms to hire. Watch this space- i hope to have it up and running for September. Will be for primary school age children in the area. If you'd like more information please e-mail or tweet me!
